WHAT IS COACHING?
It’s a partnership between a coach and a coachee to help the coachee identify and achieve their goals and enabling them to maximize potential in all or any aspect of life. It can be done 1 on 1 or in a group setting.
WHY COACHING?
If you are too comfortable in your comfort zone, limiting beliefs are holding you back, lack clarity and focus on goals and actions, need that extra momentum, unable to make a leap to the next level.
WHAT ARE THE FACTORS OF SUCCESSFUL COACHING RELATION?
Truth, openness, trust, confidence in self and the coach and most importantly commitment and taking actions to move ahead.
DOES HIRING A COACH MEAN THAT I AM INADEQUATE?
No, coaching is based on a belief that every client is whole and complete and is capable of generating his/her own perfect answers. Underrating one’s own potential, lack of clarity, mind barriers inability to take actions are the biggest barriers to achieving what we want. A coach through a structured process provides support and offers unbiased guidance to achieve what you decide to achieve.
HOW DOES THE COACHING PROCESS WORK?
Coaching is an exploratory process wherein the coach helps the client’s in designing the blueprint of a fulfilled life. This includes getting clarity of goals, capabilities, challenges that are holding them back and above all holding them accountable for taking actions. During this process, the Coach provides active support and encouragement to take actions.
HOW DOES THE COACH HELP IN DEFINING GOALS AND GENERATING RESULTS?
During the process of coaching a Coach asks relevant questions to get clarity, explore possibilities and challenge them whenever required. Everyone has the ability to conceptualize and bring to light the right answers for any given situation, but due to some obstacles they are not and that’s where unbiased guidance of a coach helps.
IS COACHING ABOUT SOLVING PROBLEMS ONLY?
No, It’s not just a remedial intervention. Mostly it’s about exploring new possibilities and overcoming challenges by taking actions to achieve important goals. Coachee does not necessarily have to be in distress to opt for a coaching relationship.
IS COACHING SAME AS MENTORING AND COUNSELLING?
Coaching is not mentoring or counselling wherein
Mentoring is about sharing knowledge and personal experiences for specific tasks or roles
Counselling is about revisiting past and healing from pain
HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE?
Depends on your level of commitment and achieving your weekly focus goals. There will be a weekly session of one hour, however, the first few sessions could go beyond an hour.
IS IT EXPENSIVE?
It’s an investment in yourself. Compared to the benefits you will realize in the long run, it’s definitely worth that investment.
